Canadians,Who do you feel closer to?

Something like between EU and US but mostly US.

In the UK, they feel Canadians are closer to Americans now. But i think they'd prefer Canada still.

The difference will be pronounced in the next few years due to politics. Liberal Canada might look more European.

I think we are closer to USA, even us french canadian fell closer to Cajuns then French, at least thats how I feel

In Geography class,my professor was explaining how since Canada was officially part of the UK for longer,they had a more European influence and have a more similar government and society to Europe. Their cities are more planning like in Europe,the government gives grants for artists more frequently and as he said, he feels more like he's in Europe when he's there.

Is the UK anything like continental Europe bar a long history? So why is the question do you feel closer to Europe or the US? I found my travels through Europe to be through foreign lands and cultures. Britain, on the other hand, is remarkably familiar.

Good point.
I think it's more anglosphere vs Europe than anything else.But it's worth noting Canada has a large French influence as well. I wasn't think of the UK when I made this.

All I know in regards to Canada is that those losers havent won a Stanley cup in like 20 years. Hockey = American sport now.
