That's a given but a lot of people aren't aware of the Dutch involvement. A very interesting and bloodthirsty part of Western Australian history is the shipwreck of the Batavia off the Abrolhos Islands in 1629. There was plenty of murder and rape involved.

There was some testing of some Aboriginal groups to see if they could be the descendants of some Dutch that survived wrecks.
This article says -
