While in layman's language, the term marriage is used, that isnt the best way to think of it. More along the lines of an adult male hominin having two or three females in his 'harem'. This changed, and we became much more monogamous, nowe are usually described as socially monogamous with moderate extra-pair sexual activity. Yet, some behaviors still exist, and if a trait does nothing for or against a population group, it wont be eradicated over time, other than out of pure chance.

It's not something I like thinking about, but female sexuality is a lot more flexible than male sexuality. Homosexuality should be resisted either way, but still, it is a thing.
