Cynicism is an attitude or state of mind characterized by a general distrust of others' apparent motives or ambitions, or a general lack of faith or hope in the human race or in individuals with desires, hopes, opinions, or personal tastes that a cynic perceives as unrealistic or inappropriate, therefore deserving of ridicule or admonishment. It is a form of jaded negativity, and other times, realistic criticism or skepticism. The term originally derives from the ancient Greek philosophers called the Cynics who rejected all conventions, whether of religion, manners, housing, dress, or decency, advocating the pursuit of virtue in accordance with a simple and unmaterialistic way of life.

Bad government, Good people and chavs -> not even people.

People: generally good, but has one of the worst underclasses in the white world. Only Russia can compete. Also many have bad manners, but overall very nice people.
Government: not as bad as it was under Blair/Brown, and better than most European countries, but still bad.

I like the climate, the people and the folklore, but I don't think that your big cities are looking good now, after all these muslims and black people.
Everybody wants to be a pop star, but nobody wants to be me and that's just awesome... - Courtney Love

I don't know too much about their government, to be honest.
The English people I have met in person were stuck-up and seemed to look down on Americans. They seemed to have a preconceived notion of being better than other people.I have probably only met a handful of English people in real life though. I should mention that I did once meet a very nice English person, but he had been living in the States for a couple decades. English that I have interacted with online seem far nicer.
I met one Welsh guy on a train in the Czech Republic. He seemed alright.
Irish people are awesome. Very easy to get along with. Love the accents.
