Finno-Ugric Music and Culture

In this thread I would like to share culture and music of the native Finno-Ugric people of Russia of whom not many people may know or who may be on the verge of extinction so please enjoy! Finns, Estonians, Magyars and anyone willing to share something of Finno-Ugric culture are welcome to contribute =)

The song sounded like a song/chant to invoke rain. Very soothing and rhythmic. I, of course, have no understanding of the complete language or intent of the music.

The costumes are similar to Slavic. Did Finno-Ugric pre-date the Eastern Slavs? I need to study this more, I see!

Finno-Ugric culture and languages are older than Slavic yes. There have been many cultural exchanges between East Slavs in particular the Belarussians and Russians and Finno-Ugric people so there are similarities in some things
