I don't have a similar background to any of those people lol. Just very very insignificantly somewhat ethnically similar to jews.

Why dont you confront her with that information? When next time she calls you white guy, remind her she said that you are ethnically close to black people and she should make up her mind, shouldnt be difficult to confront her since you are good friends.

It groups all non Europeans as the same. And as an american, I feel close to people based on individuality. And while I'm neither ethnically close to white americans or most Americans "of color," I sure as hell feel a lot closer to white americans than to black, east asian, and hispanic (mestizo hispanic) Americans ethnically speaking, unless it's like a Horner muslim.

I meant people with similar background to you are in that same white/brown zone. Not that south italians and iberians have a similar background to you.

There are Iberians at my university and nobody ever treats them as anything other than white. They are all pale and white looking. Once people realize they are spanish people from europe, nobody treats them as non-white. They don't go through what I have gone through at all. I do look white, but i, unlike Spaniards, am a non european. South Italians and Jews are on the same boat though, for some odd reason for italians.
