I can add that this shitty small piece of mountains inhabited by goat fuckers was not important to conquest by Turks.

It was quite important, because:
1) Those "goat fuckers" constantly raided their caravan routes and caused them lots of losses.
2) They sparkled countless rebellions in neighboring areas (northern Albania, Herzegovina, Sandzak).
3) They raided well outside their borders. During Second Siege of Jajce (late 1520's), band of Montenegrins marched all the way into Bosnia to rescue Hungarian garrison that was hemmed in it.
4) It was a huge stain on honor of such a big empire to be unable to conquer tiny land they surrounded from all sides. And they failed for 5 centuries...
