I speak the local dialect of my hometown. It differs from the main Swedish mostly because we in many cases don't pronounce the last vowel in many words. For example, the Swedish word for "not" is "inte" but we say "int". Also the sj-sound differs, many people point that out when I talk. I often get compliments for my dialect when I talk to Swedes from other parts of the country.

I also talk the old rural dialect who was speaken there. I didn't grow up with the rural dialect, but I have picked it up from hearing people speak it and listen to all the audio and video clips that people have uploaded on the internet. That dialect have slowly died out due to urbanization, but it is on the way back. There are a lot of people who are working to preserve it. As it is an important part of the regional culture and identity. You can even take courses to learn it, and in some primary schools they have that as an alternative to learn Spanish, French or German.

I can post some dialect words and expressions later.

Not the author of the thread possibly takes into account that people from various parts of our country have different way of pronunciation, however it may not be a dialect, unless someone speaks specific way. The elder people out here used to speak the Polish dialect of Ukrainian language, in Polish called - "język chachłacki". But it was common when I was a kid, nowadays it is almost extinct and I know no one who could learn me it. Unfortunately.

On the other hand there were people from other parts of Poland who after hearing my voice claimed, that I speak "different Polish", which meant basically noticing eastern accent. Could be.
This thread also is supposed to encompass different accents / pronunciations. As for people who are from Eastern Poland - I mean like 50 kilometres from our borders, they indeed tend to speak little different.

I've always intended to learn Breton because I want to keep the language of my ancestors' alive.

The problem is that you don't find many native speakers anymore and that it is only spoken in lower Brittany. Besides it's a whole different language family: Celtic from the Brethonic branch, it doesn't compare to any language I already know.

I do not speak any dialect or local language, since in Portugal there isn't any besides Mirandês language, which is the second official language of Portugal. This is what it sounds like:

I speak the old language of Hertfordshire. It's called 'English' and it's dying out, barely even taught in schools anymore.
