Citizens of Sarajevo calling for a Rally in Support of Hillary Clinton
A group of citizens of Sarajevo will gather on Saturday, the 22nd of October, in front of the Sarajevo Cathedral, to show their support for a candidate in the presidential election in the United States, Hillary Clinton.
“All the attention and all eyes of the world these days are looking in only one direction: Presidential elections- Hillary Clinton vs. Donald Trump – USA. Everyone is following with full attention every step of the candidates, and each spoken word is particularly analyzed. It seems to us in BiH sometimes that we cannot do much on the stage of foreign policy and especially when it comes to presidential elections in the United States. However, this is not the case. We cannot do anything that would have a direct influence on the outcome of the elections but we can be friendly support. We stand together and we support the friend of our country, Hillary Clinton,” as said in the statement, adding:

“Therefore, dear citizens of this country, dear and respected citizens of Sarajevo, let’s be united in giving the support to Hillary Clinton for president of the United States in front of the Sarajevo Cathedral on Saturday, the 22nd of October, where we will send a message of love and a message of friendship to the world with our symbolic signatures. We invite you to participate with your signatures in a friendly campaign “Sarajevo votes for Clinton” and thus express our gratitude for everything that Hilary did.”
According to them, we should recall the not-so-distant 1996, when we needed all the support of this world, when Hillary organized a goodwill visit to BiH together with her daughter Chelsea Clinton and several other public figures. Hilary came as a senator in BiH, as the Secretary of State of the United States, as a citizen and as the first lady of the United States, and our country was the first stop of her official visit to the Balkans.
“We should not forget her messages of peace, words of support and effort to get the world political scene closer to BiH, and therefore let this be our hand of friendship for a friend of our country,” as said in the statement.
“Let’s be the kind of Sarajevo what we are and even better. Let us be grateful and friendly BiH. Let’s show the world that Sarajevo votes for Clinton and invite the citizens of BiH to do the same. We are waiting for you in front of the Cathedral on Saturday, the 22nd of October to be a helping hand to our Hillary with our signatures. Let them hear our voice!” as announced in the statement.
