    Default Bosnian Croats

Hi, I know the "official version" but I would like to hear from Croats:

    1) what is the current political situation among Bosnian Croats today ?
    2) how did it happen that Bosnian Croats got the worst deal after the wars ?
    3) who is responsible for this ?
    4) what is the current relationship between Croatia and Bosnian Croats ?

Tuđman and some other politicians were responsible for this. Bosnian Croats did not want to give up the idea of Republic of Herzeg-Bosnia. Tuđman with Mate Granić enticed Croats from B&H with three false promises (I don't want to get into now) to sign the Washington Agreement. But we don't blame them. They had their reasons, probably the main one was ending the war between Croats and Bosniaks in B&H. Our politicians also ordered the withdrawal of soldiers from northern Bosnia and Posavina which still makes some people angry. Soldiers say that felt that coming for quite a time which manifested itself in lack of logistics, weapons and ammunition.

    4) what is the current relationship between Croatia and Bosnian Croats ?
It was shit for the last 5 years or so, but with the new rightist government it is getting better.

Hello, long time no see indeed.

So the situation is getting better now. Is an autonomist or even separatist tendency common ?

I honestly have no idea, even with this Dodik squabble regarding separation.

The Serbs seem to be in a much better position inside BiH politically despite being latecomers. A once Croatian region now overun by Serbs and Muslims. It's a tragedy what happened to it...

I am not very informed about politics in B&H, I don't really give a shit despite me living there (a bit there and bit in Croatia), but Serbs stick together and have support from Serbia plus as you know they have the Republika Srpska. Other than that Croats have enough political power for being almost a minority, imo at least and from what I hear.

What do you think is the future for BiH and the Croats there ?

Many of Bosnian Croats who are muslims have changed their nationality to "Bosniak". So it's really hard to tell how many Bosnian Croats are there.
I am muslim, but I am not Bosniak. My parents and ancestros are Croats.
