On my mother's side, we have Burgundians (via Netherlands) and possibly someone from Scandinavia, but it's hard to find details.

EDIT: I am still wondering, however, what could explain my high cephalic index (which my mother and sister also have). As I understand, Nordid and CM tend to have a low cephalic index (especially CM). Perhaps it's different for Scandinavian Nordids?
    Cool, thanks for the info!
Nordids tend to be dolichocephalic, while more CM individuals lean towards brachycephaly.

Got it. Thanks for the clarification. So CM is associated with Scandinavians, right?

It seems something else is admixed in. Would the admix be some sort of Baltid perhaps?

The relative with the most unusual features would be my maternal grandmother's either father or grandfather, as shown in this old black-and-white photograph:

    Would anyone agree?
I found photographs of this man's brother, who would be my great great grand uncle:

There's something about his appearance that's hard to place. Could anyone help?

You do look Scando. Like a Tronder-Hallstatt with a Brachny-head influence.

Also a correction: Full-blown CM's are long headed, not broad-headed.

Yes! A broad-headed Tronder-Hallstatt makes perfect sense, and it's a type I don't really see very often here in the States, causing me to feel somewhat different. There's a certain brightness to the eyes.

I'm wondering if the broad-headedness may be influenced by either my great great grandfather (above, also his brother) or my great grandmother (my maternal grandfather's mother) here:

^ To me, she looks like a cross between Nordid and Eastbaltid, but I'd like to hear what others think.
