In Austria and Germany the lutheran churches called "evangelisch" are very far left, they even have gay marriages in germany and female priests etc.

I was recently near Frankfurt in weeding, it was Evangelist church. Priest was very friendly, he went later with us on celebration, it was really cool weeding.

There is a difference between evangelisch and evangelikal though. Evangelische Landeskirche is a state church in germany, and very liberal, evangelical is a independent church or called freikirche that means free church and they are usually very conservative.

Oh i didnt know that, this was normal state church in town Ebsdorfergrund.
