Actually women attempt to commit suicide more often than men. Men are more successful. But this is based on methods each gender prefer to use; women tend to choose more "aesthetic" ways, such as swallowing some pills, while men choose something more lethal, like jumping from the height.

In the light of these two facts it is actually no surprise at all to see men committing suicide way more often than females, except in countries such as China, where the female condition is so utterly shitty that it would lead many people to see self annihilation as the only way out.

Being suicidal doesn't make you a "coward", it literally means your severely clinically depressed and actually need help.

Telling them to "toughen up" wont do anything, because it's literally an illness.
