    Same reason why the west adopted the Arabic numerical system from alphabetic numerical system. We are also Roman influenced (we are actually the last true Romans of the Roman Empire)

    2016

    Arabic = 2016
    Greek = ΒΙΣ
    “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Eph. 6:12

    Definition of untrustworthy and loose character are those that don't believe in God.

    Why do we have to be slaves on everything that comes from the Germanic peoples?

    Roman Empire should be rebuilt from ASHES of destruction, and first thing in doing so (if we ever want to challenge Turks and Germans) is to
    follow our Calendar.
    well, to be honest most of people here do not associate our country with balkans, but mostly with southern europe, like italy moreover the right caldendar has been proved to be the gregorian

    Roman influenced? Beg your pardon?

    Has it came to your mind that Rome and Italy is occupied the same way Anatolia is occupied?

    Has Ugo Boncompagni and their ancestors founded Rome?

    JULIAN CALENDAR was ALWAYS one and only calendar in Roman Empire and variants of it.

    As far as I am concerned, Romans are now following Germanic calendar and are members of Germanic Empire.
    It looks like nobody cares about that shame, it has became mainstream since 1923.

    Maybe the Germans are the ones who used the Roman calendar and adopted Latin. Wannabeism?

    You need an argument to challenge me.

    Calling someone a troll or psychotic without an argument is the most disgusting thing I've seen on forums.

    Is that a modern way of communication?

    Calling someone an idiot without arguments?

    It looks like nobody cares about that shame, it has became mainstream since 1923.
    The Romans like the Greeks counted their years from important dates (full moon, equinox etc) - Julian calendar is very linear and simple. The most important of these dates was the founding of Rome which is labeled a.u.c. (anno urbis conditae - from the year of the founding of the city)

    Rome has its own a.u.c
    Constantinople has its own a.u.c

    The Greeks had first full moon of each month as the new month that cycle lasted for 28-30 days

    The only real difference is the Gregorian calendar skips leap years when years are divisible by 100 --- the vernal equinox is one of the most important dates of the Gregorian year falls on March 25th (March = Mars (god) end of new-born season cycle), ten days were 'removed' from the Gregorian calendar and the 4th October 1582 (Julian Calendar) was followed by 15th October 1582 (Gregorian Calendar).
