I think that can depend on whether you look at things from an internal or external perspective. From an internal perspective, some people particularly folks into spirituality would say we all have a part of the brain that is reptilian. From an external perspective, it would be the opposite because obvious close examination upon the concrete says otherwise.

I'm familiar with a lot of New Age stuff as well but that was a long, long time ago for me. I think I like to focus on the here and the now.
