How can a language be called "weird" at first place?

Actually, I prefer "peculiar", "out of the ordinary".

Every language is unique, so every language is "out of the ordinary".

OK, one more time, it seems you didn't understand anything...

One more time? As far as I remember, the last time it was you who confused own imagination with reality.

But here, indeed, I do not understand how someone can mention various languages and ask: "which is the most different".

It's obvious. All Romance languages evolved from Latin. But some of these languages evolved more than the others, got more foreign input, or remained unchanged in many aspects. There are black sheep in every family, and it's not an offense. Many foreigners told me that compared to Spanish, Italian, Catalan, French sounds more "exotic", different. I've heard the same kind of comment about Romanian and Portuguese.
I would like to know which one is the most different from a LINGUISTIC point of view. I have been clear enough.
    What's wrong with that ?

Now please, stop nit-picking. If you wish to discuss further, then send me a private message.

    Have a nice day.

In other words, which of these languages stands out the mosts (shares least similarities) within the group?

    So and...?

It means exactly the same. The only difference is that your version is much more elegant.

English is not my mother tongue. In a French-speaking forum, I would have found immediately the right sentence to introduce this thread.

Still, I speak much better English than the average non-British/American forum member...So where's the problem ?

Your persistence in correcting me is really strange. I gonna send you a PM right now.

Technically, to my question the only proper response would be either "yes" or "no", and that would basically be enough. I asked if that's what you meant, after all.

But feel free to send private message, of course.

Well to me personally Portugese and French are different, very different in pronunciation.

French is like that IMO because of strong celtic influence on it, and germanic.

Portugese is ... it is very "funny" language IN POSITIVE WAY, in positive way ppl , "funny" in term of pronunciation which is truly beautiful to me personally, so that's why I voted for Portugese on this poll .
