But it's true. Most of the cities in "Slovakia" were populated by Germans/Hungarians/Jews. Only after WW2 did illiterate Slovak villagers start migrating into cities.

They are frustrated because of their inferiority complex, due to feeling of "oppression" by all their neighbours. Even Poles are bad because you "first started WW2 by invading Slovakia together with Nazi Germany in 1938" when Poland took some areas of North Tatras.

Here is the map. Green was taken by Poland in 1938, Red taken by Slovakia in 1939.

Every year many Serbs from Sumadija and other truly Serb areas migrate north to Austro-Hungarian Vojvodina to find work or have better lives.
My father was serving the Yugoslav army in Southern Serbia in early 1980's durin Yugoslavia, Yugoslav Belgrade politics was doing that on purpose, to station soldiers from other republics to another, he was always saying to me that he was shocked when he saw those areas there, he couldn't believe that those areas are in same "country" (Yugoslavia) as we are, he says it was full of Gypsies, Gypsies everywhere, he said that majority of SERBIAN (not even Gypsie houses but Serbian) houses didn't even had TV in southern Serbian durin 1980's, and they didn't even care.

Mentality was so different than ours that my father resquested 10 times from Yugoslav army to be moved somewhere in Croatia or Slovenia, or at least to Bosnia to serve his remaining days in Yugoslav army, but he was rejected.

Majority of officers in Yugoslav army were always Serbians, especially when Tito died, Serbs took over everything, at least they tried to.

My father says that in Yugoslav army while serving; Croats and Slovenians would always stick togethar.

Also some of the Bosniaks would stick with Croats and Slovenians.

No one wanted to hang out with Serbians, Montenegrians.

He said Macedonians were ok but they were also totally different mentality and culture.

This satirical FRENCH map of Europe from 1870 explains everything when it comes about Croatia and Serbia, NO OTHER COMMENTS ARE NEEDED:

Croatia used to have higher GDP per capita than Poland. Based on data from IMF (International Monetary Fund):

In 1991 Poland's GDP per capita was 80% of Croatia's and in 2014 it was already 120% of Croatia's:

Poland's GDP per capita as % of GDP per capita of other nations in 1991 (after the end of Communism) / 2014:

    Croatia - 80 / 120
    Hungary - 63 / 101
    Greece - 43 / 97
    Portugal - 46 / 93
    Slovenia - 59 / 85
    Spain - 38 / 74
    New Zealand - 42 / 71
    Italy - 30 / 71
    UK - 36 / 64
    France - 31 / 62
    Finland - 34 / 62
    Belgium - 30 / 58
    Iceland - 33 / 58
    Denmark - 28 / 57
    Canada - 31 / 56
    Germany - 28 / 55
    Sweden - 31 / 55
    Austria - 29 / 54
    Australia - 33 / 54
    Netherlands - 28 / 53
    Ireland - 41 / 51
    USA - 26 / 46
    Switzerland - 21 / 43
    Norway - 21 / 38

During Communism in 1950-1989 Polish GDP per capita was growing at a much slower rate than in Western Europe:

GDP per capita in Poland compared to Italy, Greece, Portugal and Spain in period 1950 - 2010:

Polska/Hiszpania - Polish GDP per capita as % of Spanish GDP per capita
    Polska/Portugalia - as % of Portuguese
    Polska/Grecja - as % of Greek
    Polska/Włochy - as % of Italian

    Odsetek - percent
    Lata - years

At the beginning of Communist economy, GDP per capita in Poland was higher than in Spain, Portugal and Greece:
