I was dismayed to find that I could not short sell stock on either of my paper trading apps. So I memorized the stock price for Pulmanix (PULM) and then checked to see if a short sell would've worked in my favor, and sure enough, the price went from $1.01 to .92 today.
I sold off my junk Bank of America stock, it opened strong after their earnings report last week, but then they went right back down to where they started. Shysters.
British American Tobacco (BTI) closed their deal, purchasing RJ Reynolds (RAI), and both stocks are making profits. It seems all major tobacco stocks are going up; notice Altria (MO) and Philip Morris (PM).
I'm betting that DryShipping (DRYS) will continue its freefall, and going long on Sea Maritime (SHIP), though I suspect it may be more prudent to check the mood of the market after Trump makes his speech tomorrow.

I suggest to be careful of things like that. If you are not employed by a funds management company and decide to go alone - it is a process of learning. You will find alot about your character in terms of patience, anxiety, determination.. analytical skills come a long distance second and advice from others is even a further distant third. The best traders do not say a word to no one and it takes about five years to get to know your stuff then another couple of years to know how to play the game correctly.. but paper trading is not going to cut it you can't learn to ride a bike by reading a book - good traders wear scars of lessons learnt.

I bet that a promoted penny stock would tank today, and sure enough, it went down 25%. I'm looking at another one that's been pumped up 300%; betting it will tank on Monday. If I'm consistently correct about these moves, I will consider opening a trading account.
