When I planned to start the thread I was searching for English names of my favorite species of mushrooms.
I was suprized for lack of its names in English language!
English had to use the Latin scientific terms (like Boletus) for the mushrooms what grows in British forests!
For me, it is almost the same like to have not in my own language a name for dog
and call it just by the Latin scientific term - Canis.
Mushroompicking is the most frequent hobby in our country.
During the season you can met in Czech forest several individuals or family groups armored by knives and baskets.
