People in the big city are fairly depgimented although taning saloons are a booming industry to allow people (particularly women) retain their golden tans during wintertime.

I excluded intentionally the southern half of Spain, with the exception of 3 provinces in Andalusia.

Valladolid and Zamora are among the darkest provinces, for sure. Zamora is even darker than Southern Spain.

I voted for Navarra (because you can only vote for one option), but I also think that is between Northern Aragon and Navarra.

The darkest would be Murcia, I think.

But there is not much of a difference in pigmentation between the different Spanish regions. Spain is much more uniform than what many people think. There are plenty of darker types among northern Spaniards, and plenty of lighter types (including many people with colored eyes and blondish hair tones) among southern Spaniards.

Which ones would be the lightest, and which ones the darkest, in your opinion??

Even admitting that the pigmentation differences between Spanish regions are minimal, of course.

I don't know about that mate, I've been many times to some Spanish cities near the border in my opinion there's no way people in the city of Badajoz are on average darker than in most of Andalusia or for example in Huelva (just to compare two cities near the border i've been many times).

Difficult question to answer...but ok let's go to generalize a bit. From my personal experience the lightest types could be Navarra, Asturias, Aragon, Palencia, Burgos...and Cadiz, yes Cadiz, the most southern point of Spain. I have met a lot of people from there (or people in tv, etc) who are blonds with blue eyes or redheads.

The darkest...maybe Extremadura, Jaen, Ciudad Real and Murcia...I dont count Canary Islands because they are not ethnically Spaniards
