Archbishop of Kalocsa from an old noble family. His name came from a Hungarian toponym: Tomor.

You know what is strange? First of all his name. The name Pal is used in Albania by both, catholics and orthodox and it's the Albanian pronunciation of the English name Paul. Among the Orthodox can be found also as Pali.
Meanwhile Tomor is the name of the most famous mountain in Albania. For us this mountain is sacred, we call it Baba Tomor, Father Tomor. Because in Albanian mythology Tomor is considered the Father of Gods.
So, if i meet an Albanian who is named Pal Tomori, for me is something normal. I think maybe the same is for you if you meet an Hungarian named in this way. But it's strange because it's not just the name or the surname, in this case we can think for a coincidence. Here is the name and the surname.

Pál is the Hungarian form of the Latin Paulus name from the 10-11th century. The Tomor toponym origin from the Tomás/Tamás (Thomas) personal name. The earlies mention of the toponym was 1211.

Try to interpret this chart (based on 89 Hungarian Conquerors' bones),

    31% Eastern and Inner Asia
6% likely Eastern and Inner Asia
    28% Scandinavian German
    10% likely Scandinavian German
    6% Caucasus
    6% Other Europeans
    2% Slavic

"Genetic data imply Xiongnu origin of the Hungarian Conquerors, who were considerably admixed with Germans of Scandinavian origin, Neparaczky 2016" This is not a joke, this is serious
Full research can be read, here (HU) http://doktori.bibl.u-szeged.hu/3794...raczki_PhD.pdf

This is definitely one of the most striking and even groundbreaking genetic studies about Conquest Era Hungarians. This studies seems to have redone many of the previous erroneously done genetic researching, which contained modern contaminated elements, because of not isolating properly the bone remnants. It seems to reveal one quite shocking fact: that Conquest Era Magyars were a mixture of Central Asian Mongolid and Scandinavian Germanic people, with also a smaller Caucasus area stratum. Early Slavic influence seems to not have happened in the steppe area of Eastern Europe. One thing seems to be certain. Uralic genes were almost none-existent among these Hungarians, putting an even greater mystery aura on the question, how did this Central Asian-North European population end up speaking an Uralic language?

It also seems to bring new scientific argument to the thesis of Medieval Hungarian chronicles, which stated Hungarians are descending from Scythians and Huns, since the mixing of this population seems to have happened in the early-mid first millennium, the time the Mongolid Huns have conquered Scandinavian Germanic people living in Eastern Europe and after retreating back to today's Kazakhstan and Caucasus area they were an already mixed Mongolid-Germanic people. But who knows, it's only a possible explanation, based on what this study shows.
