hmmm, I Would say that Brazilians speak more fast than Portuguese, but it's just my opinion. people from my region received much Italian influence, maybe is because of this

All languages speak at the same rate in terms of information.

Foreign accents and languages usually sound faster because our brain as a harder time understanding it.


Technically Brazilian Portuguese is way faster in terms of syllables per second as you can see in that part of the video.

a lot of people say portuguese sounds like a slavic/romance language like a russian trying to speak spanish

brazilian portuguese seems more romanticized

but obviously there are a lot of dialects on these countries

Sometimes Brazilian Portuguese can sound slavic too because of the "gee" and "tshee" sounds.
