Andreas Gross: Macedonian Children Should Learn Albanian

Former Swiss politician Andreas Gross, within the panel in Bern, Switzerland, where participated the SDSM leader Zoran Zaev, on which most of the audience were members of the Albanian diaspora in Macedonia, expressed statements that are contra constitutional for our country.

Gross publicly urged Macedonia to become bilingual or to change the Macedonian Constitution following the example of Switzerland.

" Both languages, Macedonian and Albanian, should be formal to be used in the same way in all regions of the country, like Switzerland. In our country, street names are in two languages, so it should be in Macedonia. Macedonians to learn Albanian and Albanians" -Macedonian said Gross at the panel discussion in Bern.

Seems to have caused a little stir in Macedonia. I for one welcome their new Albanian overlords.

Sure, why not? It's inevitable as Macedonism is a dead-end ideology. They'll either become Albanians or return to their Bulgarian roots.

You pretty much just hit the nail on the head, a dead-end ideology is exactly what it is. The more time goes the more confused they get regarding their identity which will lead to either becoming more Bulgarian or more Albanian. If the Albanian language becomes official the matter is officially settled but I have a hard time seeing it happening.
