This thread is definitely dedicated to certain Linux users how to install and setup a local web server on an open source operating system.. hopefully, this thread may help you if you couldn't find in Google search machine a proper manual about installation and configuration vBulletin engine.
Let's try to implement the following task as shown in the picture
open console/terminal and install Apache2
Check your web server in your browser by typing http://localhost or 127.0.0.1:80 if it works correctly
Install php5
also we need client/server MySQL database
let's try to change the old password to a new password of database. In my case it would look like this one @Strpoint91063
web server configuration: 1) start 2) stop 3) restart
database management.
In order to login in to a database you should type this string mysql -u your-domain-name-in-linux -p
if you'd like to test your database you should type this one: show databases;
modify these fields
it's time to move all the content of the downloaded VB(forum) engine to the /HTML directory
enter the url just as it is written in the address bar in a web browser and try to start the installation process
You just have to change the title and email address to whatever you want
skip it
Set up your admin account
This means you should remove the install folder from the /forum folder
cd /var/www/html/forum and then find the directory 'install' and remove it by typing rm -rf
Refresh your web browser and try to login to admin panel
Congratulations on your achievement!
