Having done so, I cannot honestly recommend living to an old age. However, much depends on the circumstances of one's life.I have often said that the infirmities of old age have a purpose: to resign one to the prospect of death ! However, if one is truly loved and respected by others who are concerned for one's well-being, the miseries of old age might well be alleviated to the extent that long life would be, not only endurable, but even enjoyable. Alas, i do not know THAT from experience.
