BBC Strictly Come Dancing: Neil Jones gets to grips with Cossack dancing

Neil Jones may be a professional dancer, but even he was confused by the mysterious art of Cossack dancing. Here's what happened when he tried his hand (and feet!) at the unusual dance. Neil is dancing with Manchester, England dance troupe "Orlyk." Orlyk was formed in 1949 and is one of the oldest established Ukrainian dance groups in the world. http://www.orlyk.co.uk/

Orlyk's vast repertoire of dances combine harmonic melodies and punchy rhythms. Their dancers and musicians also perform in unique, handmade costumes which reflect the different regions in Ukraine.

Through the very high standard of its dance and adherence to folk traditions, Orlyk has earned the prestigious title of ‘Representative Dance Group of the Association of Ukrainians in Great Britain.'

Haha! He's exhausted. It is eay to underestimate the skill and endurance of a dance that is unfamiliar, especially for a dancer I'm sure. He probably thought his experience would help but in reality he has to teach his body to move in a new manner.
