Brecha en el Silencio (Gap in Silence) is a Venezuelan Drama movie from 2012, that was nominated to the Oscar as the best foreign language movie from that year. Is about a poor lower class, and deaf-mute girl who maintains her siblings, while suffering the abuses of her step father and the indifference of her mother. She fights for her freedom and and for saving her siblings from having the same fate of abused girl that she had:

Cangrejo ("Crab" in English), is an old Venezuelan police/drama film (1982), based on the true story of a 13 year old boy from a wealthy family from Caracas, who was kidnapped on February 22 of 1973, and whose body was found dead, 8 days later, on March 1 of 1973.

The detective Leon is assigned to the case of the kidnapping of a 13 year old kid from a wealthy family. The details of the kidnapping call his attention, since there are not signs of violence in the home where the kid lives, and there are not witnesses either. Based on this, the detective thinks that the kidnappers knew the boy, and soon begins to suspect of several young people belonging to wealthy families of Caracas, and that the kidnapping had to do with a drug debt from the older brother of the kidnapped kid.

Sorry for the bad quality of the video trailer:

Jack recommended this film also. It seems to be well regarded by those who watched it. May I ask what is so good about this film?

Let me just say it's recommended for a reason and you should never judge a book by it's cover. It's quite an emotional roller coaster that would leave you satisfied for weeks or even years. For every reason that frozen was good (female relationships), this one is even better. I think we all have close friends so we can all relate to beautiful friendships like this.

By the way, didn't you enjoy '滚蛋吧! 肿瘤君'? You don't typically like those kinds of films but you ended up raving about it like some lovesick fan girl. I heard lots of people were moved to tears by the whole thing.

So, you still never answered the question. Did you cry?

No, but that's a good suggestion. I'm sick and bored and was looking for something to watch, so thanks. I assume you're Romanian?
