Sounds like a mix of Russian and Turkish to be honest.

Strong slavic component and then some other kind of tone which sounds a bit in tone like Turkic, but it might be it sound more like Romanian, I don't know enough what these languages sound like.

Armenian is a unique language.
It is an independent branch of the Indo-European language family.

What do you find so "disgusting" in the language? Is it the Middle Eastern throat sound "kh"? Russian has that too, x, though you pronounce it softly. Or is it the constant "r" sound?

What languages do you speak besides Russian and English? People in Denmark and Holland also pronounce hard throat sounds in their speeches. Perhaps you should travel more.

I totally agree. Phonetically Georgian and Armenian are very close. We share all the same phonemes, with the exception of the Georgian "q" sound and the fact that Georgian doesn't have "f", they pronounce "p" instead. Even our Alphabets look alike, especially their earliest version of the Georgian alphabet.

Doesn't sound Turkish at all. It has a rather unique and quite nice sound. I'd say it can sound like Persian and Kurdish a bit but just sometimes.
