Even if i can agree in parts, that doesn't make your comparison valid anyway. Muslims are not a opressed minority throughout the centuries, and you know it.

And there is no such thing as 'European culture' (in the case of 'folk' cultures) as a whole, Muslims have a role and presence in *some* minoritary regions of Europe, but that doesn't make Muslim culture part of let's say Ligurian or Estonian 'culture'. Most Muslim places in Europe are peripheral and not part of the core of Western identity or Weltanschaunng. Muslims have been defined as enemies of the West since ever... The fact some Muslims live in Europe and use mini-shorts and low-cut dresses is fine, no sane person would condemn these people, but the extremists are enemies of Western Civilization. Period.

Well, I should have mentionned the numerous Muslim communities in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Britain, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxemburg, Denmark, Sweden and Norway. There are not really poor countries. And moreover, Scandinavian countries have had a successful tradition of left social-democracy.
No decent Muslim would accept to work in Portugal, where the unemployment rate is high. Only Romanians and Bulgarians move to your country (although they prefer your Spanish big brother most of the time). The only migrants you get come from Mozambique or Cabo Verde. Angola became too rich for you. It is rather Portuguese who migrate to Angola.

And for your sake, secularism being uncompatible with Islam is a hoax and just a pretext for racist people to expel Muslims. What they reproach them is that they are too woggish. Most forum members seem to support these movements. Yet, only a few of them acknowledge that these political parties are located on the right edge of the political spectrum. They are great (True) liberals of the European kind.
They are secularists (laicite), and cultural preservationists.
