Battle of stalingrad
Nazis
Initial:
270,000 personnel
3,000 artillery pieces
500 tanks
600 aircraft, 1,600 by mid-September
Russians
187,000 personnel
2,200 artillery pieces
400 tanks
300 aircraft
Result
Decisive Russian victory
To make it clear, I am against both communism and left-wing in general, but nothing can be compared to nazism, and yes, the constribution of Russian people against nazis is not disputable

Yes the movie is in cinemas now but will be made available for download later. Good war movies are made together with Belarus: Come and See, Fortress of War, In August 44th.
If you stumble by Russian war movie look at its director. If names are either Nikita Mikhalkov or Fedor Bondarchuk don't waste your time on it, it's garbage.
Admiral suggested by Rethel is garbage too. The main character of the movie, admiral Kolchak, is shown as hero and saint. Most of important facts from his life are omitted. For example while he had affair with wife of another officer his own daughter was dying. During revolution he fled to US, then joined British Royal Navy and was sent to Siberia to fight against revolution. Over there he committed many war crimes for which he was captured and trialed by court. It's shown in movie he was executed by Bolsheviks while in reality he was trialed and executed by local authorities before Bolsheviks arrived. Still movie portrays him as some saint while he is confirmed war criminal.
Have you seen Brat 2? Don't know any other similar movies. Just look for its director Aleksei Balabanov and see if you like any other of his works. Also Sergei Bodrov, the actor playing Danila in Brat, was director later and made few good films. I'd recommend Sisters.
In fact I don't know of a single Hollywood war movie based on true events. They are all invented lies yet it's Russian production based on true events is being criticized.
