They look quite different from what I expected, IDK who they'd show most genetic affinity to, but I expected them to look more like Norwegians. Germans and English people def. look more Norwegian than Normans.

Because the Nordic input is low in Normandy. It got quickly absorbed, hence why the people speak French and not Norse.

No, I think it is quite high. Northern coast of France, even Brittany, scores high Northern European in genetic analyses.

But those regions were not taken over by Scandinavians, so if they score as much as Normandy, it likely predates that.

Nothing. I'm just curious and I know I am not the only one who is curious about that.

People I know from my native area and from where I live today look definitely more germanic and nordic than you do RN97.

I have to say that the only examples I could post here are from public internet and unfortunately some types are not represented here then. I found out from very local native people on Facebook many of them looking definitly more Nordid and Germanic than thos 3-4 poor examples and I have plenty of them to prove my point.

How can I know their ancestry ? They are from my deep countryside part of Normandy, from countryside schools and villages I know very well since I'm native from here. I know their surnames are typically Normans and I used to see them when I was a child, knew their parents or relatives who are native of this area and friends of my relatives as well. They are very common of my native place where saxons settled massively and later Danish and Norvegians met around. My native area for centuries is preserved with local marriages, I know registers of villages around very well since I used them for my own genealogy and I could track back ancestry of those people easily there.

Problem is I cannot share pics of people from facebook I think, unless I can since they shared in public ?

Concerning the input of Scandinavian on genetics here how can you assume such bullshit Sikeliot since you have NO FUCKING DATA and you even didn't dare to read my ethnogenesis here ??

Also I'm having fun here because I dont know why people would want us Normans to be Danish or Norvegians, we are Normans for centuries which is a very peculiar situation and created a peculiar people. I want to recall again that vikings settlers were mainly Danish not Norvegians, Norvegians only settled in the Western Normandy and lot of them were actually Norse-Gaels. We are not Norvegians and how could you expect us to be looking like them who never mixed with any other people while here we are a mix of germanic peoples with Danish and Norse-Gaels for centuries ? Read ethnogenesis of Normandy, dont keep in mind your stereotypes.

I'm also aware that if I shared nordid phenos I would be accused of being a "wannabe Scando" haha or having cherry picked people. The samples I have shared (from highschools) are the more neutral I could find. But you wanna see our nordids and germanic looking native people ? Very well, I'm going to show them.

Imo it's best to take group photos from public domains to show phenotypes correctly.

To me Ilma these Normans looks close to English people, if I had to chose one group that overlaps the most. It would make sense historically too, both had Celto-Germanic+ Norse ethnogenesis.
