Switzerland is one of the best countries on Earth: Direct Democracy and a prosperous and high-tech economy. Switzerland is the most competitive and innovative country in the world. They are particularly succesful in pharmaceutical goods and scientific instruments. Don't be so envious.

I knew a Swiss girl and she called herself Swiss and not even German so you're absolutely right. Switzerland is also the epitome of Central Europe, that's for sure, but I really don't see the point of having a nation with three ethnicities inhabiting it instead of just spliting up the land among them accordingly.

They keep their respective identities and languages/religions but being Swiss seem to be above that, sort of Pan-identity. It's really interesting, but their cantonal and direct democracy system seem to work perfectly.

They do have a fantastic economy I'll admit that. Have you ever been there though, the people are so robotic and dull. It's definitely one of the most boring countries on Earth. That's true and they are the centre of the UN in Europe too. Direct Democracy? I don't know about that...I'll do some research when I can.

I'm not envious though, I couldn't care less. A swiss person is just a person at the end of the day, with a higher chance of wealth compared to people from other European nations on average. However money is not everything.

Yes, I have been there 3 times. Switzerland is a tax haven too, but I prefer to focus on the more positive aspects of its economy.
