No pal, they stopped the match cause serbian fans thrown missiles and flares in the pitch and the side of the stadium where children and families were, plus they punched and threaten your goalkeeper before the match.
Police could not intervene because there were many children and families between Serbians too, so the hooligans could keep on doing what they want.

Pal, I think that Italians used reputation of Serbian hooligans to win this game without playing, being under a lot of pressure (WC early exit, EC qualifiers bad start…). I’ve seen tons of games played under a lot more difficult circumstances . Look at the facts: 2-3 flares, 2 guys sitting on the fence and yelling. Nothing special if you ask me. According to Italian tv, the fans were more worse than Liverpool fans, right. They used same tactics back in the 80s to end English dominance in Euro cups.

Don't say like that, it doesn't make sense. Read your serbian newspapers. The match was stopped by the referee and Uefa, not by italians. After 30 minutes of missiles and flares, they calmed down because Stankovic and others went to speak with them so the match started. After 6 minutes serbian fans started to throw flares and missiles to our goalkeeper. That's the moment the referee, stopped the match.

I wouldn't trust either Serb or Italian media on this. the ball is round, anything could have happened if it wasn't suspended.

That works both way though, and after few minutes there have been a foul who deserved a red card that referee didn't give to a serbian player cause he feared more chaos.
