Unnecessary consumption of animal products. Don't you miss the taste of fish or meat?
If I don't mystake, a large part of portuguese cuisine use animals products. Do you have a feeling of breaking a tradition or a part of your culture by doing it?

The Albanian, Turkish and Swiss flags are PLAIN RED flags with a symbol in the middle, just like the USSR had a hammer and a sickle in the upper-left corner, and the People's Republic of China 5 stars.

Not really, you get used to it. Yes, Portuguese gastronomy uses a lot of animal products but that's not really troublesome to me, I can keep the traditions because any Portuguese dish can be replicated or have its vegan version. It is what I do most of the times.
