McMafia is a British television mini-series created by Hossein Amini and James Watkins and directed by James Watkins. It was inspired by the 2008 book of the same name by journalist Misha Glenny. It stars James Norton as the British-raised son of a Russian mafia boss trying to escape the ties of organised crime. The eight-part mini-series is co-produced by BBC One, AMC and Cuba Pictures,[1] and premiered on 1 January 2018.[2]
