My grandfather's Russian bible? Russian Orthodox cross and icons? My grandmother's tea tins and dishes from Russia? IDK. Maybe I'll just put them in a box and hide them in the basement storage. I'm keeping my Anton Chekhov books, though. He was a cool guy. I'm sure he would support Ukraine. Too bad he died in 1904.

Now, the only hope for Ukraine is yourself. And you have the Russian nickname. Down with it!
    Do what you should.

Well, I could change my name to "Olga." My Ukrainian grandfather said that should be my name due to being born on the feast day of St. Olga.

You could go for it if Scandinavians don't mind it.

    Go Slavic bortherhood!

Russia treats Ukrainian travelers like they treat Russian citizens.

He's a Finn not a Scandinavian and has nothing to do with that name.

According to ukropariots Chekhov was ukrainian writer, katsaps traitorously claimed his legacy as their own

Anyway, your countryman Baldy told you already, change katsapian Marusya with ukrainian Marichka or Mariyka

    Indeed.

    Olga is not scandinavian name
I don't know, really. But Russian Wiki doesn't suggest any other version. And the name has no Slavic etimology.

Olga is even less scandinavian than "russian" Marusya jewish, because it did not exist in such form in Scandinavia untill late 19 century, when russian names became fashionable and popular across Europe.
Olga is russian name of (presumably) scandinavian origin, same way Marusya is russian pet form of jewish name Maria.
