I don't know how people from Athens would plot, but I do know that these people will fill the gap between Sicily and the mainland, and they shift toward the mainland compared to Dodecanese and Cretans (the same is also true for the North Aegean).

Because East Sicily is very Cretan/Dodecanese like and has very low North European affinity.

But I would argue these results are how ancient Greeks might have looked -- more North European than Sicilians and Cretans, but not as much as modern mainlanders who do have SOME Slavic ancestry.
