They probably think that North West Europeans can distinguis Balkanians from Caucasians.

Guys, Georgia was more isolated from Osman empire, than you were.
Georgia today is less corrupted and less criminal than most Balkan states.

The only thing that can be argued for their "Europeaness" is Christianity. By that logic though, even Assyrians are European. They may be part of European political stuff like UEFA, Eurovision, etc. but even Turkey and Azerbaijan are so that is a moot point.

I would like them to be, but no. Culturally, perhaps, and otherwise they're more similar to West Asian people by a long shot. I think "we" can have some really nice cooperation though. It's not like we have nothing in common at all.

Yes, I was speaking about the cultural part. Of course they both have some Asian influences but I still consider them as kind of European.

For example I once read a book with Armenian fairy tales. They are quite similar to European tales.

I'm not arguing on religious grounds, but there are some Europeans and Armenians/Georgians that do which is why I brought it up. Its dumb to be considered European based on Christianity alone otherwise Assyrians would be considered European as well, which shows how flawed that argument is.

I understand you don't ask from purely geographical point of view (which is also debatable by the way).

When you take into account the societies that live in Caucasus, every nation should be taken into consideration. Georgians consider themselves European, or at least choose to integrate with Europe. Not sure about Armenia, and even less sure about Azerbaijan.
