I think you don't get what is this all about. Georgia's primary goal (even before the Rose Revolution) was to get rid off Russian influence after the collapse of Soviet Union. So even before mentioned change of the government the politics were pro-Western. War in South Ossetia, in which Russia participated, obviously didn't conviced the Georgians that Kremlin has good intentions.

My only problem with Georgians and Armenians claiming that they are European will lead some of them to them being racist against West and Central Asians, even to Azerbaijan. It always hits my gut whenever I see Armenian white supremacists bashing woggy MENAs like Iranians, Kurds, and Afghans, when they look closer to us than they do to Europeans.
