The Disappearance of Flight MH370

In January 2017, authorities solemnly called an end to the global effort which had occupied the minds and the prayers of millions for the past three years. Over 120,000 square kilometers of Indian ocean had been combed around the clock with cutting edge technology, but despite all this effort, we're still no closer to solving the disappearance of flight MH370.

This story still scares the hell out of me whenever I think about it. I just don't get why a pilot would try to commit suicide with so many people on board.

I don't blame you. I am an annual flyer so, yes, this stuff is always in the back of my mind.

For me it's the airline that counts. If I'm with an American or European airline, I don't really have any fears. A third world one on the other hand...

Last thing, I don’t think it’s as much of a mystery at this point as some make it out to me. What happened to the airliner seems deliberate and done by the pilot. The mystery part is WHY and WHERE as in why did the pilot want to take his own life and those of innocents, and where exactly is the plane located.

Same as school shootings, the perpetrators hate everyone around them and decide to drag them with them. It can’t get more evil than that.

For me too. I prefer to fly with either KLM or Lufthansa. But Emirates is slightly cheaper.

It very well could remain a mystery forever. 60 minutes Aussie did a recent detailed show with experts. They seemed to believe it was deliberate due to the positioning of the flaps on the wing parts that washed ashore on some island.

The difference is that with those incidents, the perpetrators know they are making a name for themselves. They do it to show the world their anger. This guy took every conceivable measure to hide that plane. There was also nothing(so far) about his past behavior that would suggest he was homicidal or even suicidal.

That’s why his motives are hard to figure out
