I have loooooots of stories.
Here's one. I was a kid, around age 8. Girl Scout camp. The campsite was in a wooded area, under a lighthouse. There was a path in the woods going from the site to the bathrooms. The path was quite long and dark.
I had forgotten to brush my teeth, until it was late, and everyone else had already come back from the bathrooms. I went alone through the woods. When I was done, it was very dark. I was walking back on the dark path, alone, when a dog started chasing me. It was a large, white dog with no eyes-- just black shadows on its face. It was radiating fury. I knew it wasn't alive. It was a ghost dog, but it was real, and coming after me.
I ran so fast my feet hardly touched the ground. It was a good quarter mile back to the tent site. When I got back, the dog was nowhere to be seen.
Years later, I wondered about this. Why was there a ghost dog in the woods by the lighthouse?
So, I googled it. Apparently others had similar experiences by the lighthouse campground. It turns out, this land had been used for years as a Satanic ritual site where there were animal sacrifices.
TRUE STORY.
Edit: the lighthouse itself is actually said to be haunted and is very famous for it.

Hypnagogia is creepy too. Once, I woke up and saw a headless man with no shirt on standing next to my bed. Another time, I was falling asleep and I heard singing in my room.
I am prone to believing in things like other dimensions, etc, but it's probably some weird brain phenomenon.

I had similar experiences many years ago.
Once I saw a man in the dark (maybe a ghost) who was sitting next to me on bed and looking at me when I woke up in the middle of the night.
It was terrifying feeling and I was "frozen" for a moment completely, couldn't move and think.
Hopefully he seems like he tries not to scare me, he didn't move at all and I felt like we communicate with thoughts.
Then I told him to go away, he gets up slowly, like a shadow and then disappears and I wake up again, this time for real.
Another few times it was something like black shadow roaming around.
I'm lucky that every time I had enough energy to "fight" those dreams and make them go away.
I believe it can be more than just a brain phenomenon.
Actually I don't like to think about such things at all. I need to sleep tonight.

When my daughter was about 2 years old, she started screaming in the middle of the night. I went in there and she was standing up in her crib. She could hardly talk, but she said "Man in my room!"
I believe in ghosts too, and I do have other stories, but I'll save them for later

I've had experiences that may or may not be paranormal. I don't know if it was in my mind or something else. I do know that I don't let it bother me too much.

Nothing common. Trick of the mind. Or what can be googled.
I & 15 others witnessed a glowing humanoid walk through a door & disappear into another room.
