Speaking of traditional culture, their cuisine is more or less Turkish, so is folklore and architecture. But it's the same case for the Bosnian Croats there, so I would still say they are culturally more similar to us, the non-hijabi ones at least. But probably they are culturally the most similar to Serbs.

Their folklore is different than Turks. It's also different than that of Croats but I would still say their folk music etc. are still closer to Croats.

I totally agree, Bosniaks are culturally closest to Orthodox ppl which is paradox but never the less.

If I would have to pick up between this two extremes; Croats or Turks, I would say that Bosniaks are OFCOURSE culturally much closer to Turks in all aspects of life and in the very definition of word - culture.

On 28 March 1992, after a meeting with US ambassador to Yugoslavia Warren Zimmermann in Sarajevo, Izetbegović withdrew his signature and declared his opposition to any division of Bosnia.

What was said and by whom remains unclear. Zimmermann denied that he told Izetbegovic that if he withdrew his signature, the United States would grant recognition to Bosnia as an independent state.
