Would you rather live: MEDIEVAL times or ANCIENT GREECE

Ancient Greece/Rome: a sexually liberal time. Artwork tells that pedophilia, homosexuality, bestiality, incest, orgies were all considered fine. It was a very sexually cultured time period. There are statues or erected penises everywhere lol!

MIDDLE AGES: A time where modestly is encouraged and virginity till marriage is valued. Under the Catholic Church, there is limitation what can be done. Oral & anal are a no no. Only missionary position is encouraged. Sex is for procreation. Nudity in art for the most part is banned, except when portraying Adam and Eve (pbut)

I think in terms of comfort they are close to each other, but the Middle Ages, despite being called the 'dark ages' were less harsh probably. The complaints more or less overlap though.

Virtually no social mobility. Medicine was a disaster. If you were burn into a certain group you'd be seen as unclean (like tanners, executioners, etc...). Society rife with religious fundamentalism (especially among peasants).

However, being born in either age does make one not know better. In that regard I don't think I'd suffer.

I agree living in Middle Ages was very difficult. I guess what I'm trying to ask is would you rather live in a sex-obsessed society like Ancient Greece or prudish society like Medieval Europe

Ancient Greeks (and Romans) valued virginity. The Greek goddesses Artemis, Athena, and Hestia were eternal virgins known as parthenos ("virgin").

Medieval age was one of the worst periods, the Church controlled everything, I bet the life of people in this period(excluding the Nobility and Clergy) was boring as fuck, they just had to work, work and more work. also everything was prohibited because the Church. and Hygienic conditions were very poor and almost nonexistent
