First case.

my italian surname is Michelino, there variations like Michelin, Michelini, Michelotti, Micheloni, etc. I have some relatives with these surnames as well.
according cognomix it's from southern italy, but other variations are from Northern Regions, like Piemonte, Lombardia, Vêneto, etc. I usually ask about it to italian users on this forum, do you already heard this surname before?

yes it does, and in last names it indicates a patronymic

Michelino seems to be a rare surname even in cognomix

The only man with that surname on google was this dude from Florence

the first region for number is Campania ( 60 )
2nd Lombardy (11)
3th Lazium (4)

thre is a big disproportion in number
almost sure it is a surname of campania origin also in consideration campania never been a strong immigration target for italians

My surname is very rare, even for Italy, i got results in Campania and Calabria though.
