They are basically depigmented Paleo-Europeans mixed with some Siberian nomads I suppose in addition to being isolated about as far north from any "darkies" down in continental Europe.

East-finns can be pretty uralic looking. West finns are mostly Nordic looking. Remember only 59% finns have that N1c, it is more common in eastern-finland. Genetic difference between east and west finns is bigger than between germany - UK



If you go to Eastern part of Finland, you can see many partly asian looking people. Surely many of them might have somewhat blonde hair though when they are young but usually they get brown or dark-brown hair pretty fast, compared west finns.

Saamis have less N1c1 than any Finnish group. 30-50% I1, + some Saami groups have 30% R1a1. They must be now the troo Nordiks, or whatever

East Finns are drifted West Finns + some local paleo stuff. West Finns are also genetically closer to people like Udmurts so...
