Black Metal is already popularized by the industry and pop culture's itself. Only bunch of kids who have discovered Black Metal recently think they listen to something out of totally mainstream and different.

But in general he is right. Nobody needs "just for fun or the music" bands.

Maybe the focus on modern real Satanism is a Germanic (and French) thing, the Easter Europeans prefer Pagan or NS lyrics.
