I was born in an Orthodox country and except for the stuff practiced in the church, most of the religious events are of pagan origin, in a very subtle form.

I also feel close to catholic religion due to origins, but I kinda like protestants too. Not like, like I would go sit in their churches but as a doctrine. Are you repulsed by them?

Actually now that I think of it, I would love to attend a gospel mass, but it's because I like that music genre
The only Protestant doctrine that I can somewhat digest is Methodism, anything reformed or puritan sounds completely retarded to me.
Naturally I'm not repulsed by people based on the religion they follow.

Protestant churches vary widely in how they do things. More mainline churches have more laidback services while Baptists and evangelicals are generally loud and energetic. I used to go to one Baptist church and found it annoying. Too much energy for me.
