I personally don't regard any part of the Caucasus to be Europe. For me they are a bridge between East and West. Caucasus is at the crossroads of civilizations.

No I don't consider them middle easterners. They are a separate grouping. Even the lightest north caucasian and the swarthiest armenian have for the most part similar looks. Both light and darker armenians look different to middle easterners for the most part. Lots of middle easterners are partially armenian though since there are armenian communities in lebanon and other middle eastern countries.

What makes Armenians MENA that doesn't make say Georgians also MENA?
Historic Armenia encompassed the Caucasus, Eastern Anatolia, and Mesopotamia.

Armenians are well within the Caucasus, imo.

Only small community of Istanbul Armenians allowed there by Türks and treated as humans after centuries treated as subhumans in apartheid system by Byzantines are genetically different than mass because mixed with Greeks, Bulgarians, Serbs and Orthodox others are different than mass body of Armenians. Armenians are closest to Assyrians with few Georgian elements PERIOD. Karachais and Balkarians belong to completely different world, even closer to Crimean or Volga Tatars than Armenians.
