I really don't mind about eye's color. Their shape, expressiveness... make eyes beautiful in my opinion.
I know people with boring and unattractive light eyes while I know others with stunning dark eyes.

I prefer dark eyes on men in general but honestly, it's not important at all for me

I never thought eyes were an important criterias to define the attractiveness of a man. It's different for women though because our "beauty" is more "delicate".
I would even say men with "too much beautiful eyes" tend to look a bit more "feminine" to me...
Personally, what I find attractive on a man are a masculine/symmetric face, a clean appearance and his aura/charisma. Eye's color is the last thing I'm concerned about.

And yes, blue eyes are overrated for both gender. Eye's color in general anyway.
