I consider you Middle Eastern. I used to consider Pakistanis Middle Eastern as well, but I've learned they are better labeled South Asian. I think Afghanistan and Pakistan make a good regional division point.

"Whiteness" is a social construct. You have to stop thinking in modern terms, first of all. You're a deracinated cosmopolitan American, so that's difficult, but stop viewing yourself in terms that originate in the Anglo-Saxon world.
